Abstract

INGGRIS This research aims to analyze students' perceptions of the use of mobile applications in learning to read English. This study involved a group of students who used a special mobile application for learning to read in the English context at SMAN 7 Mataram. The research methods used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research showed that the majority of students reacted positively to the use of mobile applications in learning to read. They consider this application to help improve their reading skills and provide an interactive learning experience as an assessment instrument. The results of this research show that students in the student reading skills improvement program at SMAN 7 Mataram have various kinds of activities to improve their reading skills in the learning process such as Awabe reading, duo lingu, vocabulary development applications, news applications, reading comprehension.
